It's COLD outside!!!

Lets talk about handmade soap and why it's better for our skin!

I think a lot of people wonder what the fuss is with handmade soap. Why buy a $5 bar when I can get several bars of dial for $3 and change. The best part of handmade soap is the moisturizing properties. Store bought soap is also made with a slew of chemical preservatives. Handmade soap contains no preservatives and most of the soaps are all natural, except for the fragrances. Of course you can have an all natural soap with essential oils. Store bought soap is also lacking its glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant, which means it draws moisture to the skin. Commercial soap makers remove that glycerin and sell it at a high price to cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. So we then by these lotions with that same glycerin to soften and moisturize. It's a vicious cycle. Why not skip the lotions and just buy handmade?! It makes perfect sense! Plus our soaps can also contain exfoliating properties. Check out my Oatmeal Soap scented with Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey fragrance...
This soap will be ready in three weeks.

If you're looking for exfoliation now, I have three coffee scrub soap available.
I also have a great all natural green tea soap...

All of these are great to polish and moisturize!

Now a little about whats going on in my life...

I don't know about you, but I feel like going into hibernation. It is cold outside and my body just doesn't want to move today. I am trying to hold back on turning on the heater but my poor fingers are frozen! I already miss summer!

Today is my sons birthday! Happy Birthday Gabe! We plan on going out to dinner later then celebrating with an ice cream cake. Brrrr. My son is 16 today. Makes me feel old! Two more years and he will be a adult. I just can't believe it!

I have spent all morning promoting and trying to gain followers. I am getting about one order a week from Etsy, which is not optimal. I did get four large orders from Ebay last night though. I have nine soaps listed on there at the moment and I am contemplating adding more. I have an outstanding following on Ebay, which sometimes makes me wonder why I bother with Etsy at all.

I'm planning on getting those orders together tomorrow and possibly making some more soap. I'm thinking Dragons Blood as my fragrance or perhaps Georgia Peach. Not sure though. Whatever I do though, I will show you tomorrow! Have a great day!
