Sunday fun day?

I spent most of the day at the Backwoods Fest with my mom, stepdad, sister, and daughter. It was nice to browse all the booths and see all the handmade items. The food was terrific too. I also got to take a good look at competition soap makers. I smelled a lot of great scented soaps but I did notice a big trend. The soaps are much smaller and higher priced than my bars. All the shops used paper bands for their packaging which I like a lot. But that means figuring out how to make the paper bands which could be a real big headache. I was just so amazed at the size and prices. Wow. I think to myself "am I under charging?". Perhaps when people see my prices they think my product is somehow lesser than the higher priced ones? All I know is that it takes a lot of promoting to get even one sale for me on Etsy. So if I raise my prices it may hurt me in the long run. Something to think about I guess.

So lets talk soap. I cut my salt bar before leaving this morning and it smells wonderful! I can't wait till it cures so I can try it out myself! Check out the pic below, its nice and white.

Lets take a look at one of the brand new soaps I have in my shop.

White tea and ginger, an all new scent for me. White tea & Ginger is described as an oriental scent that is a melange of citrus notes, exotic spice and beautiful jasmine. Very nice smelling soap and it looks great too!

Lets also take a look at my cut shampoo bar that I talked about last weekend.

This one is a hit and the patchouli orange smells amazing! Remember to stop by my shop and see whats new, on sale, or even just to browse. I have a lot of great scents in my quality soaps!
